To discuss IT industry challenges post pandemic
The Hyderabad Software Enterprises Association (HYSEA) will organise the second edition of BizSummit 2021 on April 9.
To be held at the Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC), the conference would deliberate on the topic ‘Expanding Growth Horizons in the new Normal’.
“The summit will focus on the emerging opportunity landscape and the impact of the pandemic on mid and small enterprises,” HYSEA President, Bharani K Aroll, said.
“In a changing global business atmosphere, there are newer ways of identifying and client acquisition. The summit will discuss these emerging ways of business development,” he said in a statement on Thursday.

To set up Cloud Centre of Excellence, Women Leaders’ Forum Contrary to popular perception there has been no significant reduction in the office space by the IT and BPO firms in Hyderabad.
“We have recently conducted a survey among the IT firms in Hyderabad. No company told us that they are reducing the space or not renewing their lease agreements,” Bharani Kumar Aroll, President of Hyderabad Software Enterprises Association (HYSEA) told
BusinessLine.
Some of the IT SMEs did face the issue of cash flow initially. “But since the demand for IT and digitisation have gone up as the pandemic progressed, the situation has improved of late,” he said.

HYDERABAD: Move over English, coding in Telangana’s government schools will now be taught in Telugu, in a new move that could see scores of students queuing up to learn the programming language in their mother tongue.
Authorities said with students who are not well-versed in English and shying away from learning this skill, it has been decided to start courses in Telugu to encourage youngsters.
“As a pilot, we will start the programme in 50 schools in the coming academic year. Soon, it will be extended to all other schools in the district,” said Vijaya Kumari, district education officer (Medchal-Malkajgiri district) where the project will be kick-started.

Hyderabad, Jan 30 : Society for Cyberabad Security Council (SCSC), the collaborative body between Cyberabad police and information technology industry, plans to set up a centre of excellence in cyber security.
Cyberabad Police Commissioner V. C. Sajjanar said since cyber security is going to be the focus area in view of the threats, a centre of excellence is proposed in Cyberabad commissionerate limits.
A programme organised to celebrate 15 years of SCSC was attended Home Minister Mahmood Ali, Director General of Police (DGP) Mahender Reddy, principal secretary, IT, Jayesh Ranjan, police commissioners of Cyberabad, Hyderabad and Rachakonda and representatives of IT industry.
Cognizant, Infosys, Micron win HYSEA CSR awards

IT majors Cognizant and Infosys have won the CSR (corporate social responsibility) awards instituted by the Hyderabad Software Enterprises Association (HYSEA). The two firms won the award in the category of ‘education initiatives’.
Infosys’ Hyderabad unit has also won the award in the category of ‘environment initiatives’ along with HSBC Electronic Data Processing India.
Micron Technology and Tech Mahindra have received the awards in the category of ‘health and well-being’ initiatives.
The awards were given away by badminton player Pullela Gopichand at a function organised at the Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC) on Thursday.
