The impressive new facility joins a number of new stores opened on the tropical island towards the end of last year. These include the new Sanya International Duty Free Plaza in Hainan Island operated by the China National Service Corporation for Chinese Personnel Working Abroad and a China Duty Free Group (CDFG) store at Sanya Phoenix International Airport Terminal 1.

LagardeÌre Travel Retail has partnered with Hainan Tourism Investment Development (HTID) to open the second large-scale downtown duty free store in Sanya, on the Chinese tropical island of Hainan today (30 December). The French travel retailer is joined on the island by The China National Service Corporation for Chinese Personnel Working Abroad, which officially openedthe first phase of its new Sanya International Duty Free Plaza today (30 December). Speaking during the recent Tax Free World Association China Reborn online event, Eudes Fabre, CEO North Asia, LagardÃ¨re Travel Retail, said the retailer had received tremendous feedback and support from brand partners, which helped complete the project in a record 120 days.
