Highland Lakes women find friendship amid pandemic

Staff photo by Daniel Clifton Zy Baig insisted her friendship with Becky Page is a big reason she’s lived through the pandemic. “I seriously don’t think I could have survived emotionally and physically had she not come into my life, and that is not an exaggeration,” said Baig, sitting across from Page. “The goodness, the kindness she and her husband (John) showed me was wonderful, and they never made me feel for a second that I was a burden.”

Groundbreaking for Marble Falls Mission Center on April 25

Subscribe Now First Baptist Church of Marble Falls is holding a groundbreaking at noon Sunday, April 25, for the Marble Falls Mission Center, located at Avenue R and Fifth Street. Officials said the two-story, 20,000-square-foot center should be complete by the fall of 2022. Spicewood Elementary cobblers raise money for Highland Lakes Crisis Network

Courtesy photo provided by Cari Orts From high heels to flip-flops, Highland Lakes residents can purchase shoes engineered by fifth-grade students in the Gifted and Talented program at Spicewood Elementary School during a two-week online auction beginning Monday, April 5. The class is donating the proceeds to the Highland Lakes Crisis Network.
