The Ohio Department of Health s new Daily COVID-19 report shows less than five-thousand new cases of the virus on Monday. Public officials said there were four-thousand-312 confirmed coronavirus cases, marking the first time in three weeks that daily positives fell below five-thousand. There were also 81 new deaths in the report and 162 more hospitalizations. Ohioans in Group 1-B will begin receiving COVID-19 vaccines today, with officials estimating around 360-thousand people in Group 1-A have received at least one dose of vaccine.
Fayette County Public Health is now accepting pre-registration for Group Phase 1B, or those who are 65 years of age or older to get vaccinated againts covid-19. The Department prefers those in Group 1B to sign up online to help keep its office lines open. A pre-registration link can be found on the Fayette County Public Health facebook page.
