During an emergency hearing Wednesday, Dec. 16, Highland County Juvenile Court Judge Kevin Greer granted custody of an allegedly abused, neglected and dependent 11-year-old to the Highland County Children Services Agency, while also strongly admonishing the agency.
“Somebody’s going to end up getting seriously injured or worse because of the decisions made by our Children Services,” Greer said during the hearing.
The case was filed in Juvenile Court Tuesday, Dec. 15, after which, Greer said he issued “an immediate order” granting temporary custody to the agency. Greer explained to the child’s mother that he was therefore required to hear the case either Tuesday or Wednesday to decide “whether or not your child sho
