“You can get your dairy, your produce, your meat, eggs and bread,” said DeChario, the Co-op’s general manager. “You can get your cleaning supplies, toothpaste, napkins your toilet paper. You don’t have to drive anywhere for those things. They’re here.”
The second thing: Despite its connection to the 45-year-old member-owned cooperative store that has served the Westcott Nation for 40-plus years, you don’t need to be a member to shop there. (You don’t have to be a member to shop at the Westcott area store, either).

The Syracuse Cooperative Market, at 618 Kensington Road in Syracuse s Westcott neighborhood, is opening its second location at downtown s Salt City Market in April 14.Jacob Pucci

The member-owned Co-op will operate its second location just down from the food hall dining area that is home to 10 independent food stalls offering a variety of global cuisines. Salt City Market, at 484 S. Salina St., opened that phase of its operation in January.
The co-op bills itself as downtown’s first full-service grocery store. It will be open 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily. It offers groceries, fresh produce, bulk foods, craft beer, prepared to-go foods, and more.
