I was in Rotterdam in September at the time of the World Port Festival. The name turned out to be misleading. It was a celebration of Rotterdam as a “world port”. Shame: they could have invited ports from all over the world to get together and admire each other’s tattoos, compare red light districts and boast about their regeneration projects.
Maybe they will get together for a proper festival. The more I see of world port cities, the more I prefer them to the manicured, over-touristed world we’re presented with on social media. And the great port cities have a lot in common. They may not be beautiful but they are sexy. After all, sex and shipping have gone together as long as love and marriage: probably longer.

BREAKING: Disney’s Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel Opening June 21st at Disneyland Paris
After closing in 2018 for a lengthy renovation period, the highly-anticipated Disney’s Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel will open to Guests on June 21st at Disneyland Paris!
Disneyland Paris shared a look at the hotel’s exterior to celebrate the opening. The hotel was originally scheduled to make its grand debut on June 15th last year, then again on March 8th this year, but was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Additionally, Disneyland Paris provided us with a load of new imformation surrounding the hotel!

Disneyland Paris has set the date for reopening after lockdown lifts in France.
Taiwan will temporarily ban entry to foreign nationals following record Covid-19 day

Taiwan will temporarily ban foreign nationals from entering the country beginning Wednesday, the country s Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) announced Monday.
The ban comes after the country reported at least 335 new Covid-19 cases Monday, its highest number of infections in a day since the pandemic began. Of the new cases, 333 were locally-transmitted.
The ban will be effective from May 19 to June 18 and will be adjusted on a rolling basis based on the status of the pandemic and effectiveness of those measures, the CECC said.
