Musical sisters punch up West End romp
Musical comedy duo Flo & Joan have written five new songs for West End drag show Death Drop.
Sisters Nicola and Rosie Dempsey penned the tracks Tonight’s The Night, Til The Next One Drops, Dramatic Act 2 Song, Oopsy Whoopsy and Gimme The Gun for the murder-mystery spoof.
The so-called ‘Dragatha Christie’ show originally opened in December but was forced to close within days because of the third lockdown.
It reopens at the Garrick Theatre tonight, and during the enforced hiatus the show has been rejigged, including the addition of Flo & Joan’s new songs.
Shane Richie took to the streets to celebrate the re-opening of London s West End following the lifting of further lockdown restrictions on Monday.
The former EastEnders actor, 57, stood in Piccadilly Circus and cheered for the return of the capital s arts and culture district surrounded by fellow performers from Magic Mike Live and Everybody s Talking About Jamie.
Theaters and hospitality venues can now welcome 1,000 audience members, or half their capacity, whichever is lower, according to government guidelines.

Christmas seems like an awfully long time ago now, doesn’t it? We had loads of fun at the initial run of new drag show Death Drop, which opened for a couple of weeks last December before we were all plunged into yet more pandemic-related restrictions. We’re thrilled that as the seemingly never-ending lockdown v3 finally draws to a close, the show is returning to the West End, and with it we have some fabulous new additions to the cast!
