“We saw them filming in the parking lot,” said Bass, now a college student.
Bass was on his way to a school rehearsal when he spotted the film crew and a large group of young women in colorful bikinis in the front parking lot of Alexander Hamilton High School in the Beverlywood neighborhood of LA.
“We were told it was a commercial,” he said with a smirk. “Definitely turned out not to be a commercial.”
Turns out the shoot was for a film titled “Revenge of the Petites” a porn spoof of the classic film “Revenge of the Nerds” something LAUSD would have known by looking at the film permit it approved.

Specter Of ERISA Woes Not Derailing Auto-IRA Programs
Law360 (January 29, 2021, 3:12 PM EST) Virginia may soon become the eighth state to direct a portion of private-sector employees paychecks into individual retirement accounts unless they opt out, indicating that a pending Ninth Circuit challenge to the legality of auto-IRA programs under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act isn t slowing their spread.
Advocates of the auto-IRA initiative, designed to give workers without pensions or 401(k)s an easy way to save for retirement, say they re confident the programs will withstand the legal challenge lobbed by California lobbying group the Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association.

Fresno Building Healthy Communities says the effort to invest in city parks has been a long time coming, in fact, nearly a decade of work to raise public awareness. Youth advocates worked to highlight the disparity between conditions in the northern parts of Fresno, and the southern parts of Fresno, where facilities were in major need of repair.
That’s why President and CEO Sandra Celedon praised Thursday’s appellate court ruling to overturn the need for a two-thirds majority for passage.
“A democracy is about counting on the voice of people and the power of people. And the people have prevailed,” she says.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) A court has ruled that Fresno s Measure P, a 2018 parks funding measure, should be considered passed.
It s another step, and might even be the final step, in a long running legal battle over the three-eighths percent sales tax increase to fund city parks and recreation that was on the November 2018 ballot.
Measure P received 52% of the vote at that time, but that set off a battle over the margin it needed to pass.
The city of Fresno argued that the California Constitution, as modified by Proposition 218 in 1996, requires that new taxes be approved by a two-thirds vote.
