Announces special dividend of ₹10 per share for crossing $10bn revenue IT firm HCL Technologies on Friday posted a 6.1 per cent decline in consolidated net profit to ₹2,962 crore for the March quarter.
The Noida-headquartered firm has also announced a special interim dividend of ₹10 per share to mark the ₹10 billion annual revenue milestone.
The IT major had registered a net profit of ₹3,154 crore in the January-March 2020 quarter, HCL said in a regulatory filing.
Including the impact of a one-time milestone bonus, the company s net profit for March 2021 quarter was at ₹2,387 crore.

HCL Technologies has signed a multi-million dollar digital transformation and hybrid cloud contract with Japanese commercial vehicle solutions provider, UD Trucks. The IT major said it is a multi-million dollar but did not disclose the specifics of the transaction.
As per the contract, the company will deliver end-to-end IT transformation spanning across digital platforms, agile digital application development, migration, support and maintenance and digital workplace services for UD Trucks, according to a statement from the company. HCL Technologies Ltd. has signed a multi-million-dollar deal with UD Trucks Corp. to accelerate the digital transformation of the Japanese commercial vehicle solutions provider.
Under the contract, the Indian IT services firm will deliver end-to-end IT transformation spanning digital platforms, agile digital application development, migration, support and maintenance and digital workplace services for UD Trucks.

For the first time HCL Technologies has entered the Big-15 club - global IT companies with revenue of over $10 billion in the managed services market - in which other Indian companies Tata Consultancy Services, Infosys and Cognizant are also present.
HCL has been promoted to the Big-15 from the Building-15 club (revenue $3 billion to $10 billion), as per the US-based technology research firm Information Services Group (ISG) data for the first quarter. The third category is the Breakthrough 15 (revenue of $1 billion to $3 billion) and the fourth category is the Booming 15 (revenue of less than $1 billion).
