Kommt Zeit kommt Rat ;) Der Baracke 5 e.V.
ist ein eingetragener gemeinnütziger Verein, der es sich zum Ziel gemacht hat jungen und auch nicht so jungen Musikern Raum zum proben und jamen zu geben..

Unser Verein existiert nunmehr im 11.
Jahr, was uns schon stolz macht..
Aus den Barackenproberäumen ist schon so manche Band hervor gegangen, aber leider sind auch viele schon lange Geschichte..
1999 wurde der Verein gegründet, in erster Linie um die Baracke vor dem Abriss zu retten.
Abermals zwei Jahre später war es dann geschafft: Wir hatten die komplette Baracke für uns! Die Toiletten wurden teilweise saniert und mit kleinen Mitteln ein Clubraum hergerichtet.
In diesem waren schon so manche geschichtsträchtige Gigs und die ein oder andere Party, die wohl keiner so schnell vergessen wird..
Wir haben viele Studenten im Verein, die nunmal (leider) nicht ihr ganzes Leben in Ilmenau verbringen möchten.
Aber viele Vereinsmitglieder der ersten Stunde sind noch zu gange..

Für 2008 war eine Sanierung der Baracke 1 mit anschliessendem Umzug des Vereins angedacht.
Doch leider fiel sie einer Brandstiftung zum Opfer.
Nun ist der Neubau auf der Fläche der (ehemaligen) Baracke 1 fertig, worüber wir sehr froh sind, da unsere alte Baracke 5 im absolut desolaten Zustand war und wohl keine 2-3 Jahre mehr gestanden hätte..

In der alten Baracke hatten wir zehn Proberäume, die wir für Schnäppchenpreise an Bands vermieteten..
Leider müssen wir für die neue Baracke mehr bezahlen, aber dafür hat man keine Mäuse (also die Tiere), eine fette Heizung und einen gehörigen Schallschutz!.
In den Räumen tummeln sich ca.
70 eingetragene Mitglieder, deren Freunde, die auch gerne zu Instrumenten greifen nicht mitgezählt..
Leider hat die Neue nur acht Proberäume, doch das bekommen wir auch irgendwie hin! Musiker sind ja flexibel ;).
Einen Clubraum haben wir ja nun auch wieder!.
In dem werden dann ganz offiziell kleinere Konzerte und Workshops stattfinden..
Jam Sessions stehen dann auch an, vorzugsweise innerhalb der Woche, mit dem Ziel auch Studenten die Möglichkeit zu geben unseren Verein kennen zu lernen..
