Amutha Dhandapani established her dance school “Bharathalayam” a leading institution in Coimbatore, for imparting art of Bharathanatyam in the year 1986, which has its branch in Saibaba Colony since the year 2005.
Over the years, this institution has trained hundreds of students not only from Coimbatore but also abroad.
Bharathalayam also conducts online classes for its disciples abroad through Skype.
Emphasizing the importance and inseparable role that Nattuvangamplays in Bharathanatyam, students are trained in Nattuvangam also.
On completion of the training, .
they are given chances to perform along with the guru and are encouraged to perform their “Nattuvangam Arangetram” also.
In an effort to make the students be independent and knowledgeable in the art form, the students are given opportunity to choreographer.
