Detailed description is The Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) Pune Chapter which was formed on 27 August 2008 with a vision "To make every 10th Citizen in Pune aware about Going Green & its benefits" is currently chaired by Mr J P Shroff , Director Shroff Group and Co-chaired by Ar Poorva Keskar, Partner, Vke Environmental.
IGBC Pune Chapter is making raid strides in advancing the Green Building concept in the country through the involvement of stakeholders of the building sector.
The movement has evoked tremendous response amongst the various stakeholders..

With nearly 200 members in Pune ,the council intends to reach out the Green Building concepts at city level so as to meet the local aspirations for which the members meet up frequently to discuss & address on the agendas like how to bring in Awareness on Green Buildings across the State.
The agenda also includes getting the concept to reach at School and College levels, have regular Interactions with relevant departments of State Government and local corporations and sharing of experience amongst members, who have carried out green building projects..
