It was inaugurated on 31 Oct.
2003 by the Governor of Haryana.
As the region around the city of Hisar was educationally backward, the rural elite of the region, led by Justice D.S.
Lamba (1929-76), decided to open a teachers’ training college for the raid spread of education in the region..

We took a vow to start a college at Hisar in the sweet memory of our revered Seth Chhaju Ram (1865-1943).
To begin with, the Chhaju Ram Law College was allotted 160 seats in LL.B.(Prefessional) 3-year degree course and the Chhaju Ram Law College was allotted 200 seats in Law..

The classes of newly established college were held in a wing of the old Jat High School building.
It was built by Chhaju Ram in 1929 in the memory of his son – Ajit Kumar (1905-13)..

Having used this building for 28 years, the site of Chhaju Ram Law College has now been shifted to its own newly built campus, situated near the Akashwani Bhawan.
The new campus is quite spacious and extremely beautiful.
