was established in 1995 as the first industrial engineering discipline (undergraduate level) in Bangladesh, the department of Industrial and Production Engineering at SUST has made a name for itself in the engineering industry through excellence and innovation in research and education.
Industrial and Production Engineering (IPE) is a branch of engineering that concerns the development, improvement, implementation and evaluation of integrated systems of people, knowledge, equipment, energy, material and process.
IPE draws upon the principles and methods of engineering analysis and design along with mathematical, physical and social sciences to specify, predict and evaluate the results obtained from such systems.
Industrial and Production Engineer works to eliminate waste of time, money, materials, energy and other resources in both manufacturing and service sectors.
