Doctors For The Bush

South-andaman,

Andaman-and-nicobar-islands,India - 744104

Detailed description is http://www.csu.edu.au/murraydarlingpartnership.
Rural and regional Australia has half the number of doctors compared to our capital cities, and chronic shortages of other essential health professionals.
This shortage has persisted for more than 40 years.
Current Government strategies to increase the number of Australian trained medical in rural practice have failed to deliver the increase in the number of Australian trained doctors in rural areas that we need.
.
.
National and international evidence shows that if you train rural students to be doctors and other health professionals in the bush, they will remain to work in the bush..
.
Charles Sturt University and La Trobe University are calling on the Federal Government to overhaul current rural medical workforce strategies, and invest in the development of new multicampus medical school in the Murray Darling to give rural and regional students increased opportunity, and improve the retention of graduates in rural areas.
.
.
This site has been designed to give rural communities a real voice in the rural medical workforce and health debate, and to encourage new and innovative approaches to the future rural medical and health workforce.
