ولد دكتور محمد أبو فرحة في بلدة طنطا بمحافظة الغربية في 30 مارس 1974 لأسرة تهتم وتعمل في مجال التجارة إلا أنه فضل الاهتمام بدراسته على النحو الأمثل فكان طالبا أزهريا ذكيا نشيطا, وسرعان ما بدأت دمائه تحن لعمل العائلة فامتهن التجارة هو أيضا لكنه أصر على اثبات أمر واحد أنه يرى التجارة والعمل فيها بعين مختلفة..

فتخصص في الاقتصاد بتجارة الأزهر ثم تخصص برسالة ماجستير في المعاملات الدولية التجارية والقانونية واللوجيستية من الأكاديمية العربية للعلوم والتكنولوجيا والنقل البحري وأكمل مشواره بالدكتوراة في فلسفة اقتصاديات الموارد البشرية ودورها في التنمية البشرية من جامعة وست بروك بكندا.
إلى جانب ذلك, فقد أسس مجموعة شركاته المتخصصة بالاستيراد والتصدير والشحن والتخليص والتدريب الخاص بالأيدي العاملة لجعلها أكثر كفاءة وموائمة مع سوق العمل المصري والعربي والعالمي أيضا.
ورغم صغر سنه فكان رئيس مجلس ادارة ناجح لمجموعة شركات أبو فرحة جروب بالاضافة لكونه عضو مجلس إدارة بمجموعة من الشركات العربية والدولية والتي تغطى مجالات مختلفة من صناعة وتجارة وخدمات, كما إنه عضو في العديد من جمعيات ومنتديات رجال الأعمال الدولية..

وبجانب تجارته وشركاته، كان للدكتور محمد اهتمامات أخرى, فتدرب على يد الكثير من المدربين والمفكرين المعاصرين والمحاضرين العالميين مثل إبراهيم الفقي وتوني بوزان وبراين تريسي وجون جريندر وستيفن كوفي وغيرهما في عدة مجالات كالتسويق والمبيعات وعلم النفس والموارد البشرية والتخطيط والإدارة والاستراتيجيات وغيرها..
