Mustafa AYDIN; ilk, orta ve lise tahsilini doğum yeri Trabzon'da tamamladıktan sonra Ankara Üniversitesi Dil - Tarih ve Coğrafya Fakültesinden mezun oldu.
Daha sonra eğitimine yurtiçi ve yurtdışında devam ederek dilbilimi dalında masterve doktora çalışmalarını tamamladı.
Akademik çalışmalarına halen devam etmektedir.

Şti. 2005 BİL Data Kağıtçılık Ltd. Sti. 2006 Dr. Mustafa AYDIN, Mütevelli Heyet ve Yönetim Kurulu Başkanlığı görevini yürüttüğü Anadolu Eğitim ve Kültür Vakfı (AKEVİ kanalı ile 2003 yılında Türkiye'nin ilk vakıf meslek yüksekokulu olan Anadolu BİL Meslek Yüksekokulunu kurdu. istihdam yaratan çözüm ortaklan, yurtdışı eğitim imkanları, gelişim merkezleri gibi birçok ayrıcalığı mesleki yükseköğretime kazandıran Anadolu BİL Meslek Yüksekokulunun yakaladığı bu pozitif ivmeyi 2007yılında "Bir Dünya Üniversitesi" hedefi ile kurulan istanbulAydın Üniversitesine dönüştürdü.
