Surgiu com o objetivo de ajudar na capacitação de professores do Vale do Açu, contou com a participação efetiva de Padre Américo Vespúcio Simonette, Dom Elizeu Mendes, Bispo Diocesano na época e outros membros da Diocese de Santa Luzia de Mossoró da qual pertence a Paróquia de São João Batista de Assu, onde a Escola está inserida, sem esquecer do apoio recebido do Prefeito Municipal da época Dr.
Edgar Borges Montenegro que muito contribuiu para que a obra fosse iniciada.
