This institution started functioning in November, 1999 at Govt.College Annex at Mananthavady with intake of 160 students in three branches viz.
Computer Science and Engg., Electronics & Communication Engineering, Architecture, and was formally inaugurated by the then Hon.
Minister for Education, Sri.
P.J Joseph on 17-01-2000.
The foundation stone for the Administrative Block was laid at Thalapuzha, 6 k.m from Mananthavady, on 10-02-2003 by the then Hon.
Minister for Education Sri.
Nalakath Sooppy.
The construction which was at slow pace took remarkable change in 2007, and then by Oct.2007, the college was shifted to Thalapuzha Campus, beginning a new era.
