Detailed description is O Hospital Batista Memorial nasceu em 1969 com a missão de promover saúde a todos os que dele precisem..
Em 1946 são enviados os primeiros missionários norte-americanos ao Ceará, o Pastor Burton de WolfDavis e Sra.
Sara Blanche Davis, trazem na bagagem a incumbência de organizar uma Igreja, um Colégio e um Hospital.
Juntando-se a uma pequena Congregação, deu-lhe o impulso para se tornar uma grande e atuante Igreja, a qual é a primeira de Fortaleza.
O Colégio Batista Santos Dumont foi organizado em 1950.
O sonho do Hospital era mais dificil, mas desde 1950 eles trabalharam no sentido de trazer para Fortaleza pessoas que ajudariam a concretizá-lo..

Em 1951 iniciou-se o atendimento ambulatorial, antes mesmo da construção do hospital, tendo a frente o Dr.
Silas Munguba e a Enfermeira Mercês Parente.
Oferecia atendimento em Clínica Médica, Obstetrícia e Enfermagem, tendo oferecido mais tarde (1959) atendimento odontológico.
O atendimento era gratuito e na maioria dos casos o paciente levava também o remédio..

Em 16 de junho de 1960 houve o lançamento da Pedra Fundamental.
Com um projeto arrojado, o Hospital já foi concebido com a intenção de ser o mais moderno do Ceará, e o 1° Hospital Batista do Brasil..

Em 1965 uma equipe composta de Médico, Dentista, Enfermeira e Pastor, realizaram durante o ano, quatro visitas a cidade do Crato, atendendo no total de 111 (cento e onze) pessoas, surgindo e sendo ampliado a partir deste, Projetos Assistenciais feitos até hoje em comunidades pobres, bem como em igrejas do campo.
No ano de 1998, em parceria com uma equipe norte-americana, foram feitos mais de 2.000 (dois mil) atendimentos somente na cidade de Crateús sem nenhum ônus para as pessoas atendidas..

Em 03 de julho de 1967 é inaugurado o prédio onde funcionaria o hospital.
Em 18 de janeiro de 1968 entra em funcionamento o Hospital Batista Memorial, com 25 leitos.
O Pastor Burton de Wolf Davis era o Diretor Administrativo.
Neste mesmo dia é realizada a 1 cirurgia, tendo como paciente uma professora do Colégio Batista.
O Hospital inicia seus atendimentos com Clínica Médica, Cirurgia Obstétrica e Cirurgia Cardiovascular.
E o único Hospital do Ceará com atendimento de dentista, realizando no ano de 1968, 1.725 consultas.
O Serviço de Gasoterapia e Insuficiência Respiratória é organizado neste mesmo ano, bem como a implantação do Laboratório de Análises Clínicas e do Banco de Sangue próprio do Hospital.
Os atendimentos particulares e gratuitos, somam mais de 13.200 durante o ano de 1968..

Atualmente, o Hospital Batista Memorial implantou o serviço Buco-Maxilo-Facial, sendo o primeiro hospital privado do Ceará a oferecer esta especialidade para seus clientes, sendo reconhecido também pelo Ministério da Saúde como sendo o único hospital privado do Norte e Nordeste capacitado para realização de Neurocirurgias de Alta Complexidade.
Dispomos de 128 Leitos para atendimentos do SUS e 18 Apartamentos.
Realizamos 87% de atendimentos pelo SUS, 5% pelo Serviço Social e 8% por Planos de Saúde.
São realizadas em média 900 Cirurgias por mês pelo SUS.
