La Salle College - Victorias was established in June 1980 in response to a request to a request from Victorias Milling Company, Inc.
to provide tertiary education to dependents of employees of this agro-industrial community located in Victorias, Negros Occidental.

A Memorandum of Agreement was then entered into by Victorias Milling Co., Inc.
and then La Salle College - Bacolod which stipulated that the former would provide the physical plant and facilities whereas the latter would provide the tertiary academic programs, using the facilities of the St.
Mary Mazzarello School, in June 23, 1980 the extension program admitted its first 135 students..

In June 1988, La Salle College Bacolod was formally elevated to University status and carried the name University of St.
La Salle - Vicmico and continued to contribute .
its share towards national development through its Ministry of Youth Formation.

In March 1992, the DECS phased-out all extension schoold; thus, the USLS BOT approved the registration of La Salle Collge - Victorias as a seperate school under the supervision of USLS.
As a result, Victorias Milling Co.
Inc.
donated a P3 million schoold building at Canetown Subdivision for La Salle College - Victorias.
insucceeding years, the school obtained financial viability with enrollment reaching 500 students; however, the financial crisis hit Victorias Milling Company resulted in loss of enrollment from among the company dependents and the school suffered financial setbacks..

To cope with the winding enrollment in the tertiary degree programs, the school shifted to offering TESDA competency-based programs in November 2009 starting with Commercial Cooking, Computer Programming and Massage Therapy.
Scholars were funded by TESDA training voucher and by scholarship grants provided by the DLSU Science Foundation.
