Since 2006, in a little village outside of Warsaw, Olszynka, hidden talents have been awakening.
A group of enthusiasts leads a Day Center for adults with disabilities and provide therapy through art, crafts, knitting, gardening, woodworking, cooking and technology.

In a Polish village, admitting that there is an intellectually disabled person in a family is still shameful.
These people spend all day locked in their homes, assigned to some household chores.
Society seems to pretend that the problem does not exist.
However, “Olszynka” Day Center is changing this negative stigma in their community.

Marcin, 35 years old, intellectual disability.
Dorota, 46, cerebral palsy.
Piotr, 45, disabled intellectually and physically after a car accident (hit by a drunk driver).
Karolina, 28, intellectual disability after an illness in her late teens.
Konrad, 23, disabled due to a brain tumor.

Currently, 30 participants develop their unique gifts in daily skill workshops from 8 am to 4 pm, Monday to Friday.
