Iniciou a vida profissional em 1983 como escriturário no Banco Sul Brasileiro e seguiu trabalhando na mesma empresa até 1989.
Período necessário para juntar as suas economias e fundar o seu próprio negócio.
Em 1990 criou uma empresa no ramo de artefatos de borracha e cimento.
Seguiu na atividade até 1997.
Inquieto e sempre buscando novas oportunidades de negócio, começou a atuar como corretor de imóveis.
Já nesta época, era um parceiro das entidades assistenciais de Limeira.
Ingressou na diretoria da Creche São Vicente de Paula e também do Clube de Cavaleiros de Limeira.
Miguel também é reconhecido pela comunidade como um grande incentivador do esporte amador da cidade.

Em 1996 iniciou a vida pública.
Foi candidato a vereador e obteve 1.049 votos, conquistou a 1º suplência.
