Detailed description is A voluntary Christian organization providing humanitarian and educational support to needy children in Western Nepal since 2002.
Nepali Family Project, run by Nepali Famliy Inc (Qld) works with children and young people identified by the Nepalese community of Tansen as being in need, including orphans, abandoned, and special needs children who require care and education.
The aim is to bring these young people to a standard of health, education and training such that they may find useful occupations and support themselves and their families..

The project runs entirely on donations and fundraising activities with the support of many volunteers.
Donations of clothes, shoes, books and computer equipment are also collected and taken to Nepal as excess luggage kindly provided by Cathy Pacific Airways..

In general the project aims to identify and support care at home or with relatives; admission to a registered children’s home is seen only as a last resort.
