Yola çıktığımızda her zamanki gibi yalnız ve yarı sarhoştu… Edremit’e yaklaşırken zeytin ve sahil kokmaya başladı yolculuk.
Saat tam dokuzu beş geçe Ayvalık tostu ve ayran yaptıktan sonra Cunda’ya doğru uzanırken artık her yer sakızlı dondurma ve mavi kokuyordu… İnsanlar çoktan öğle rakısına oturmuş, teknelerde balık pazarlıkları sürüyordu… kadınından uzaklaşan her erkek adamın yaptığı gibi kendimizi ve tüm yolun yorgunluğunu öğle rakısına bırakırken, ne Ney üfleniyordu, ne de Kırmızı Ot denen Boris Vion öyküleri dönüyordu masada.
Ege’nin tüm verimliliğini masaya yatıran yeşillikleri, yine Ege’nin güzelim mavisine karışırken, içmeden sarhoş olmanın dayanılmaz hafifliğine karışan deneyimli bir sarhoşluk yaşıyorduk….
