Detailed description is The two NSW SES Wollongong City Units are individual Volunteer Emergency Response Units, assisting the community during floods, storms and tsunamis.
Who We Are:.

Founded in 1967, the Wollongong City SES is made up of two independent units.
The Wollongong City Unit is located in Fairy Meadow with a newly established sub-unit located south, in Coniston.
Overall, the two units have over 100 members and together, are responsible for assisting the community as far north as Waterfall, through to Lake Illawarra in the South and the Illawarra escarpment to the west.

While our primary role is to assist the community during floods and storms, we are also involved in the support of other emergency services during times of need.
