Detailed description is O Orangerieschloss, também conhecido como "Novo Laranjal em Klausberg", ou simplesmente o "Laranjal", é um palácio da Alemanha construído pelo Romântico no Trono, Frederico Guilherme IV da Prússia, em Potsdam, entre 1851 e 1864.ContextoO Palácio do Laranjal começou com o plano para uma rua principal ou uma via do triunfo.
Estava projectado que começaria no arco do triunfo, a Este do Parque de Sanssouci, e terminaria no Belvedere em Klausberg.
Uma diferença de cotas seria equilibrada com viadutos.Tendo como referência o lado Norte da Galeria de Pintura e as Novas Câmaras de Sanssouci do tempo de Frederico, o Grande, Frederico Guilherme IV esboçou novos edifícios, os quais poderiam decorar a sua Via Tiumphalis de dois quilómetros de comprimento.Devido à instabilidade política desse período (Revoluções de 1848 nos Estados Alemães) e por falta de fundos, o gigantesco projecto nunca se materializou.
Apenas o Palácio do Laranjal e o Arco do Triunfo (o Triumphtor) foram realizados.O PalácioA construção do Palácio do Laranjal começou a partir desenhos preliminares do próprio monarca.
Os arquitectos Friedrich August Stüler e Ludwig Ferdinand Hesse foram encarregados de transformar os desenhos em realidade.O edifício, com a sua frente de 300 metros de comprimento, foi construído ao estilo da Renascença italiana, à imagem da Villa Medici em Roma, e da Galleria degli Uffizi, em Florença.
