منذ سقوط الجمهورية الريفية سنة 1926 بعد أن تكالبت عليه ثلاثة قوى إستعمارية هي فرنسا وإسبانيا وكلبهما المدلل المخزن ، وبدعم ألماني يتمثل في الأسلحة البيولوجية والكيماوية ، إنتظر الريفيون 3 عقود لنيل إستقلالهم وخروج الإستعمار الإسباني لكن الأقدار شائت أن يسلم الريف من طرف إسبانيا لحليفها المخزن بتواطؤ فرنسي ، وعوض الإستعمار ا لإسباني بآخر مخزني مما أثار حفيضة الريفيين من الأساليب العنصرية التي نهجها المخزن بعد أول دخول له للريف في تاريخه سنة 1956 ، وثار الريفيون ضد الهيمنة والإستغلال المخزني فجائت سنوات الإبادة الجماعية خصوصا سنوات 1958 و 1959 والتي إرتكب فيها المخزن من فضائع ما لم يرتكبه أحد قبله من قتل وإغتصاب وتهجير وتنكيل ...
بقيادة الطاغية الحسن الثاني الذي أمضى حياته منتشيا لأنه إستطاع القضاء على الشعب الذي دوخ العالم في حربه التحررية وصار مدرسة لكل الشعوب وهو الشعب الريفي ..
ومرت سنوات من الصراع بين الريف والمخزن وكان أهمها 1984 حيث دعى الطاغية الحسن الثاني الريفيين بالأوباش ..
وإستمر العداء المخزني للريف إلى يومنا هذا وقبل أشهر قتل المخزن خمسة من شباب الحسيمة وألقاهم في نار أشعلها عملاؤه ليحترقوا في أقسى درجات الإذلال والإهانة لإنسانية الريفيين ، وقد شهد الريف حركات إحتجاجية سميت بحركة 20 فبراير تدعوا للتغيير الجذري والقطع مع الماضي .
وكان أمل الريفيين فيها كبير وخصوصا أن يتم الإعتراف باللغة الأمازيغية بشكل يساوي بينها مع العربية كما منح الريف الحق في تسيير شؤونه ذاتيا بدون تدخل الرباط وفرض الوصاية عليه ، وإن لم يستجب المخزن لهاذا فقد رفع أحرار الريف خيار تقرير المصير ورفضهم البقاء تحت سلطة تعامل منطقتهم كمستعمرة تستغلها ولا تقدم لها شيئا، لكن المخزن تجاهل كل هذا ليستمر في لعبته وأراد فرض دستور ممنوح يضع الأمازيغية في موضع لغة ثانوية وبالتالي الأمازيغ كشعب من الدرجة الثانية كما لم يشر بتاتا في حق الريف في تسيير شؤونه ذاتيا كما فعل للصحراء ..

إذن فبعد كل هذا فقد يئسنا كريفيين أحرار من إمكانية إصلاح هذا الكائن الفاسد (المخزن) وبالتالي فإننا نعلن عن إنشاء جبهة تحرير الريف يكون هدفها الأسمى تحقيق الحرية والكرامة لكل ريفي سواء داخل الريف أو خارجه ومطالبة المخزن بالعودة لحديد سنة 1956 وعودة المهجرين واللاجئين الريفيين لأرضهم أحرارا.
