I was born in Cleremont and am very proud to be a father of three and a third generation miner.
I grew up in Moranbah, where I attended the same local school that I now send my children to.
After leaving Moranbah to find a job, I returned in 2000 with my wife Denise.
Our community brings me so much pride.
I am honoured to be the Chairman of the Moranbah Community Scholarship Board which supports and funds local kids to attend University.

I have worked at the Goonyella mine for the past seventeen years operating heavy mining vehicles and I understand first-hand the effects of successive LNP governments ignoring jobs and the infrastructure needs of Central QLD.
