Detailed description is Página Oficial de Sebastián Mac Gregor : Baterista en Jacks..Soy Sebastián Mac Gregor, tengo 18 años y actualmente estudio la preparatoria en el Instituto Asunción de Querétaro.
Desde que tengo uso de razón recuerdo a mis papás escuchando buena música y ellos me transmitieron el buen gusto.
En la escuela siempre me molestaban porque escuchaba “música rara” pero nunca me importó! A los 11 años obtuve mi “Xbox 360” y me regalaron el “Rock Band” siendo la batería el primer instrumento que me llamó la atención.
Al ser amante de la música me volví de cierta forma adicto al juego y tenía cierta facilidad para el instrumento, fue entonces cuando mi hermano mayor le comentó a mi papá que realmente era bueno y comenzó la historia....

Nunca tuve una visión profesional de la batería hasta que mi hermano me llevo a ver a “Pilaseca” en lo que era el “Music Factory” en los arcos, cuando aún tenía 11 años.
Me senté detrás del monitor del baterista Ariel Torres y desde ese día vi la batería desde otro punto de vista; el futuro que quería, mi destino.
De ahí nace mi pasión!.

Poco después obtuve mi primer batería, entré a tomar clases con el ruso Sergei Sokolov, actualmente maestro de la UAQ en Bellas Artes y uno de los mejores bateristas de jazz en Querétaro.
Aún recuerdo mi primera clase donde ni siquiera cogí las baquetas, lo primero que me dio fue una pelota y me ordenó rebotarla contra el suelo durante 40 minutos, cuando me detuve dijo: “ya sabes como tomar una baqueta”.
Definitivamente fue la mejor clase! Estuve con él durante un año y luego por causas económicas no pude continuar así que decidí aprender por mi cuenta mediante videos y clínicas por internet....

A los 15 años tuve la oportunidad de tocar con los músicos de Fernando Delgadillo y los de Lila Downs, el concierto fue un homenaje a Jetro Tull que se llevó a cabo en la Ciudad de México en “El Péndulo” de La Roma.
Después de ese memorable concierto me ofrecieron salir de gira con Fernando Delgadillo, pero a mi corta edad mi mamá no me dejó ya que no quería que abandonara mis estudios, de lo cual no me arrepiento..

Durante las vacaciones de verano del 2012, Pedro Regalado me invitó a hacer una audición para una banda local que yo conocía llamada “Jacks”.
Después de algunos días recibí la llamada de que me habían seleccionado y desde ese momento mi vida musical se revolucionó radicalmente.

Jacks es una banda conformada por 5 integrantes: Pedro Regalado (guitarra), Rodrigo Vázquez Mellado (bajo), Javier Martínez (piano), Aarón García (voz) y yo, hay un compromiso total y estamos convencidos de que el proyecto va a salir adelante y llegará a ser de talla mundial.
No solo por ser un sueño mundano sino porque trabajamos en ello día con día y estamos obteniendo buenos resultados.
En menos de un año hemos tenido más de 15 apariciones en diferentes venues y en los últimos meses hemos y vamos a compartir escenario con Jesse & Joy, Los Claxons, Los Daniels, Allison, entre otras más..

Actualmente estamos trabajando en nuestro primer material discográfico que será lanzado en el mes de Octubre.
