Self Image Fitness was founded in October 2000 then known as Aussie Dance & Fitness.
Located in a small shed in Nambour, on Nambour Connection Road we had a regular client base of 30 Ladies& Gents dancing & doing fitness classes..
My name is Sarah Parke & my mission is to create a fitness facility affordable & attainable for all Nambour & surrounding communities, with a high standard of service at an affordable price!.
ACCREDITATION & HISTORY .
My knowledge stems from 25 years in the industry first attaining my accreditation in Adelaide as a 20 year old in 1989 and was offered a job straight out of the training course.
This led to working & then managing this facility for 10 years, thereafter while travelling Australia for a few years I continued to update my accreditation & now hold qualifications in the Northern Territory, South Australia & Queensland.
During this time I have accumulated many skills from many amazing trainers & training weekends and have taken the best of this knowledge to the training table when I train my clients!.
HOW IT ALL STARTED .
Formally known as Aussie Dance & Fitness I ran a number of aerobic & dance classes with a crèche starting with a regular client base of 30 ladies & gents.
As time went on I added a small PT Studio numbers grew to 150 clients.

As I was a single mum with 3 children it was a high priority for me to create a facility that mums could come and exercise with their kids cost effectively.
Knowing exercise was a great way to get back into shape physically & mentally I focused on creating an environment that wasn’t intimidating for women to come to and created a social network that proved to be beneficial to all involved, but cost effective! .
2006 Self Image Fitness was created, the larger facility could now cater to more of the mission on hand! Staff were now a big priority, this is where I become We.

My now husband Noel came to work for me & we became a team.
Self Image Fitness is a family owned & operated business.
This is the atmosphere we have created within our environment & we bring this to our clients with a very personal approach as simple as remembering & greeting clients by their name! .
Our team also consists of 2 other Trainers/Fitness Instructors Jayde & Brony, 2 other Trainees Melissa & Chloe, 2 crèche workers Ashleigh & Christine & our masseuse Carmen.

Co workers from Fit 4 Life Rehabilitation & Exercise Physiologists, Tristan & Kristy, who we work along side to create a well rounded team able to cater to government funded rehabilitation (EPC Referals) & veteran affairs (DVA) programs, workcover and much more!.

Self Image Fitness is now a full fitness club catering to all aspects of fitness training.
We now have over 650 active members and pride ourselves on our service to all of our clients personalizing programs to each person’s individual needs..

Our new ventures for 2012 include Bodybuilding with huge success in 2011 with two clients who had never been involved with this side of training before were placed 3rd & 5th in the INBA (natural bodybuilding) Competition in Brisbane on October 25th 2011.
We now have interest within the gym to take others through over the next year which is very exciting for all involved!.

Weight loss is another big success program run throughout 2011 anyone of our clients that took this challenge on have achieved amazing results, we call it our 12 Week Transformation which includes all access to the facilities eating plan & One on One Personal Training twice a week, the results are amazing & maintainable for a Lifetime!.

We have also extended our class timetable to include Spin Classes this is one of the best fat burning classes out there and we hope to have this as a major player on the class schedule in 2012 the only classes of this category in Nambour..
