Detailed description is Government College Kariavattom (GCK) Kariavattom Government College, was established in 1993 an under graduate wing of the University college.
But after the shifting of all UG courses back to University College in 1997, it starts new courses in UG for Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Computer Science and Statistics.
After that it is renamed as Government College, Kariavattom.
They are affiliated by the Kerala University.
Almost all students who joined the Alumni Association were placed in different companies including Multi National Companies like Infosys, IBM, Ernst and Young etc.
They are also conducting a Campus Placement cell and also other programs such as tech fest, Sports, Cultural Activities and other fests.
