The Order of Malta is an international lay Catholic order that has answered this call for both strength and compassion for almost 900 years, from its origins as the Knights Hospitaller of St John.
Its young adult group in Sydney, the Young Order of Malta, is looking for young Catholic professionals interested in the Order’s two apostolates of Defence of the Faith, and Care of the Sick and Poor.

YOOM is made up of young professionals and those who will soon leave university (and the great campus Catholicism they've enjoyed there).

Our work with the sick and poor includes palliative care for the elderly that supports the dignity of life, BBQs with drug and alcohol detox patients, working bees at the homes of the elderly and fundraising for the Order’s works.

Catholics should not be divided between "social justice" or "faithful to the Church" - we must be both.
