Detailed description is Sangeet Shikhharthee Sammilan is one of the oldest music institution in Bangladesh, established in the year 1942 by Late Ustaad Suren Das Sangee Ratna Pandit Sree Surendra Narayan Das (Suren Das) started his music career as a student of Ustaad Alauddin Kha.
Later he went to Kolkata and learn classical music from Pt.
Dr.Jamini Ganguly then Pt.
Grijiza Chakroborty.
After completing he came back to Comilla and started learning from king of Gouripur, Mymensingh Sree Birendra Kishore Roy Chy..

In 1940, Panditji came back to Comilla after acting as a Principal of a music school in Agartala, India.
In the year 1942, Panditji established one of the renowned music school in Bangladesh " Sangeet Shikhharthee Sammilan" .
He played the role of Principal of this institute till his last breath in 1986.

From 1942 till present around 5000+ students trained from this institute.
It produces a lot of quality singers, those are well established in the field of music ( Classical music, Rabindra Sangeet, Nazrul Geeti etc.) in Bangladesh..

Panditji died in the year 1986 but his successors are still carrying the light of his spirit regarding Sangeet Shikhharthee Sammilan to fulfil the dream that Pandit Surendra Narayan Das saw in his early age.
