On Friday s Backchat, we are talking about the return of the high-speed rail link between Hong Kong and mainland China, with services set to resume from this Sunday January 15.
10,000 high-speed rail tickets per day are now on sale – 5,000 in each direction. Passengers can mainly travel to Shenzhen and Guangzhou during the preliminary stage.
People could either reserve their tickets on the mainland s 12306 ticketing website, or purchase them directly at the West Kowloon terminus. Most mainland-bound tickets for the first week of the re-opening have already been snapped up.
Are 10,000 tickets enough? Do we have enough staff ready for the resumption? What about the not-in-use intercity through-train connecting Hung Hom with Guangzhou East?
After 9.15am, we are talking about wild boars, as the number of people injured by wild boars rose in 2022. Is it their fault.or ours?
