The people on the European Authority side including some of the media are always saying how the german tax payers, they dont want to pay any more. Thats not it necessarily. There is debt relief that does not involve the german tax payers paying any more money. Extend the the maturity of the bonds. The quantitative easing program. That could be used for greece even though theyre refusing to do it now. Its not about money at all. Its about politics. The European Central bank is doing is that no other bank has done. Its strangling the voters into doing something, its political. Its not about the money. Its partly the fact that there is no framework in place for this sort of activity at this level . Well, no, there is a framework in place. I mean, they are in the process of negotiations. What the greek government wants is they want a deal that will allow the economy to recover after six years of depression and with depression levels of unemployment, 60 for youth, for example. Thats what theyre not giving them. Theyre not allowing them. Theyre not allowing the economy to recover. So there is a framework. Its just that the european authorities, which includes the ecb, of course, the most powerful part of it, and the imf, and the European Commission and the euro group of finance theyre all trying to basically strangle the economy right now. They cut offyou know, people dont understand what they did its really unprecedented.
