Walking through campus, i notice fliers being handed Tout Visiblably jewish students, basically fliers telling them that they are complicit in genocide. And this is some of the experiences that we have been able to document at the university. So, there has been jewish students that are faced out of their dorms. They have been spat on, forced to hide the symbols of judaism. Excluded from the Student Life groups. They have been pinned against walls. Antisemitic slurs and tropes has been shouted at other jewish students. When it comes to the university, has there been some commitment to keep you safe on campus or have you walked to class by Campus Officers or anything like that . The short answer is no. The administration has made a commitment to ensuring the safety of jewish students on campus. Were constantly receiving emails from Barnard And Columbia saying they want to mend fences. Lawrence with the words . Yes. But, as much as i appreciate those cliche sentiments, its all talk and no action. Columbia has an Antisemitism Task Force that released a pretty damning report of antisemitism and antisemitic incidents that happened on campus this past year, and while that was disseminated to the entire university, i have not seen tangible examples of the administration taking note of that.
