In exchange for his guilty plea, Terrell Wilson, 31, was sentenced to seven years in prison. He received credit for 453 days in custody. His attorney requested he be placed in a substance abuse treatment program while in prison.

According to prosecutors, the woman arrived home on Jan. 11, 2020, to find Wilson there. She knew Wilson from a prior dating relationship.
"During the course of their interaction, he grabbed and struck her about the body several times," said Assistant Cook County State's Attorney Shilpa Patel.
