During their April meeting, West Orange County Republican Women Federated surprised long-time member Theresa Sherrin with the club’s 2021 woman of distinction award. The “Mindy Yatsui Woman of Distinction Award,” named after a beloved member who always volunteered and kept her beautiful smile even through difficult battles against cancer, is given only when a member deserves its special recognition. Theresa Sherrin (seated) was recognized as their 2021 Woman of Distinction by West Orange County Republican Women Federated. Making a difference in the lives of many women as the founder and Patron Saint of Precious Life Shelter, Sherrin has often said, “I was there to help someone rise from the depths of despair, and I had a willing husband who was with me every step of the way. They survived and so did we. What could be better?”
