Make a list of all the worst things a driver with their G1 (new! level one!) licence could do, and we can probably tick it off the list of what a young man in Kingston, Ontario was charged with by the OPP on February 21.
Well, young
ish. We guess 28 is definitely old enough to know better.
You have to maintain a zero blood alcohol level (BAC); and he was over the legal limit. Ontario G1 drivers have to have a qualified driver (fully licenced, not impaired) with them; he was alone. You can’t drive on major highways; he was stopped on Highway 401. Wrong address, no plates on the car, no permit for the car, no insurance for the car. I think the only thing they didn’t nab him on was driving between midnight and 5:00 a.m., but the night was young.
