(DOTr FACEBOOK / MANILA BULLETIN) Currently, the overall progress of construction at the BIA has been pegged at 74.132 percent complete. Actual construction work at the airport only started in December 2016. But now, Department of Transportation (DOTr) Secretary Arthur P. Tugade has ordered the conduct of continuous or 24/7 construction, and to do what is necessary to ensure faster completion of the project. As of Feb. 3 2021, Package 2A of the BIA development project is 89.784 percent complete. Construction works in Package 2A cover the airport’s landside facilities, such as the Administration Building, Air Traffic Control Building, Crash Fire Rescue Building, and the Maintenance Building.
