“He is positive and he is scared,” his brother Mark Valentine told the Tennessean. “He knows he is very, very sick.”
Shortly after being diagnosed, Valentine had initially dismissed his positive test result, telling his brother that he was already feeling better.
He said, ‘I don’t think it’s going to be a big deal,'”  Mark told The Washington Post on Sunday. “I frankly quit worrying about it.”
