Sunday in Chicago, Woodruff again demonstrated his dominance over opposing hitters. Woodruff was staked to just one run during his six innings of two-hit shutout ball, mowing down eight Cubs on strikeouts while walking just two in Milwaukee’s 6-0 win on Sunday. Woodruff improves to 2-0 with a 1.55 ERA. Woodruff has been brutal on the Brewers rivals to the south this month. In three starts against the Cubs, Woodruff has surrendered just one earned run, while striking out 22 and walking just three in 19 innings of work.
