Cape Town City goalkeeper Peter Leeuwenburgh is reportedly set to leave the club for a move to Eredivisie side FC Groningen.
Leeuwenburgh, 27, has been the club's first-choice keeper since arriving in South Africa in 2018 and emerged as one of the leading performers in the DStv Premiership.
The Ajax Amsterdam academy graduate has racked up 85 appearances for the club, with the most recent start in Saturday's impressive 3-0 win over SuperSport United at Cape Town Stadium.
It's been widely reported that Leeuwenburgh would depart at the end of the season, having not seen his family since the Covid-19 outbreak in South Africa and after the birth of his child, he's said to have expressed his desire to return home.
