Cincinnati resident wins $1 million in Ohio's final Vax-a-Million drawing

Ohio announced the fifth round of Vax-a-Million winners Wednesday night: Esperanza Diaz of Cincinnati won $1 million and Sydney Daum of Brecksville in Cuyahoga County won a four-year college scholarship.
The winners were selected Monday at the Ohio Lottery Commission offices in Cleveland. The drawing was conducted by a random number generator and observed by a member of the Ohio auditor's office. The Ohio Department of Health then verified the winners had received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.
