Father of 'Bloody Sunday' victim blames anti-terror law for son's death Mar 12, 2021 6:09 PM PHT Jairo Bolledo Santiago Bacasno, the father of slain activist Mark Lee "Makmak" Bacasno, blamed the anti-terror law for his son's tragic death. " Ganyan ba ang batas ng anti-terror law? Papatay muna bago i-search? Bago arestuhin? (Is that what the anti-terror law is about? Kill first before searching? Before arresting?)" Bacasno asked on Friday, March 12, during a press conference organized by the families of the victims of the March 7 "Bloody Sunday'' operations. Makmak Bacasno, a member of San Isidro Kasiglahan, Kapatiran at Damayan para sa Kabuhayan, Katarungan at Kapayapaan (SIKKAD-K3) in Rodriguez, Rizal, was killed during the deadly crackdown in Calabarzon, along with 8 other activists. The raids also saw the arrest of 6 other progressive individuals.
