Vietnam reports 7,882 new COVID-19 cases, 106,347 in total Xinhua 27 Jul 2021, 05:18 GMT+10 HANOI, July 26 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam recorded 7,882 new COVID-19 infections on Monday, including 7,859 locally transmitted and 23 imported, according to the country's Ministry of Health. The new infections brought the total tally to 106,347 with 524 deaths, the ministry said. Among the community transmissions, a majority of 5,997 cases were reported in the southern epicenter Ho Chi Minh City, 733 in the nearby southern Binh Duong province, and 259 in the southern Dong Nai province. As many as 21,344 COVID-19 patients have so far recovered, while over 4.6 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered nationwide, according to the ministry.
