Obiena registered 5.86 meters to place second behind former world champion Sam Kendricks of the US, who won the gold with by clearing the same height on his first try. Obiena continues to show improvement during his preparations for the Tokyo Olympics. His training camp is in Italy under Ukrainian coach Vitaly Petrov.
