According to the PNP Health Service’s daily tally as of June 27, there are 1, 767 active cases and 25, 704 recoveries (85 new recoveries). The Covid-19 death toll stands at 73. The Philippines has for logged 1, 391, 911 COVID-19 cases (53, 447 active infections) as of Saturday afternoon. A total of 1, 314, 220 have so far recovered while 24, 224 have died. Meanwhile, the World Bank on Friday (June 28) approved a US$400 million loan to support reforms that will assist the Philippine government in achieving a resilient financial sector and help ensure a more inclusive recovery from the Covid-19 pandemic.
